Digital Safety For Human Resilience
The Digital Safety for Human Resilience Group examines how digital technologies impact the safety, security, privacy, and outcomes of vulnerable groups, with a focus on youth and at-risk users (e.g., older adults, disabled people). The group investigates online risks such as cyberbullying, cybergrooming, sextortion, and mental health outcomes, while developing resilience-based strategies that promote agency and support. Using socio-technical and human-centered methods, the group advances approaches for safer digital ecosystems through collaborations across computer science, social science, and policy. The group is led by Dr. Pamela J. Wisniewski.
